Toryah Cameron, Staff Attorney

Toryah Cameron earned a BA from Harvard University in 1994. While at Harvard, Toryah was a Stride Rite Public Service Scholar who spent three years working with the children of the Academy Homes Youth Enrichment Program through the Phillips Brooks House – Harvard’s public service umbrella organization.

Toryah then earned a JD from Howard University School of Law in 1997 and practiced corporate finance and securities law for five years with the international law firm of Sullivan & Cromwell in Washington, DC. Toryah moved to New Orleans in 2002 to accept a two year Forrester Fellowship at Tulane Law School where she taught legal research and writing.

After her fellowship ended in 2004, Toryah remained in New Orleans to start a limited liability company that managed her rental properties. Toryah also volunteered with a literacy program for children in New Orleans public schools. After the hurricane of 2005, Toryah returned to Washington, DC and became a program attorney at Morgan Lewis & Bockius focusing on civil litigation. Toryah also became an Assistant Adjunct Professor in the Business and Management Department of the University of Maryland University College where she taught real estate, business law and government contracting courses.

Toryah got married in July 2006 and returned to New Orleans. She joined Juvenile Regional Services where she combined her love of children and litigation and lived happily ever after. Toryah is licensed to practice in New York and Washington, DC.
